I spent my holidays with my German family in South Africa. It was the first time that I met my niece and nephews. After several Uno games I can now honestly say that I cannot believe what I lost out on over the last 11 years…
The children saw this beautiful cat just outside our
accommodation, but they did not think she was very friendly. They would run up to her to play or
cuddle and then she would ‘attack’ them…
We only saw the little kittens a few days later, and realized that she
was being protective over her kittens.
Then we approached them a little slower and with food, and she would
allow us a little closer, but
not too close!
Maybe it was better that we could not come too close,
because we would have taken one or two of the little ones home with us. I know I would have taken the black
one… so beautiful; and those blue
eyes.
These beautiful kittens were so blessed with the
shield of love from their mother, just like we are blessed to have the shield
of love from our heavenly father.
'But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them sing joyful praises forever.
Protect them, so all who love your name may be filled with joy.
For you bless the godly, O Lord,
surrounding them with your shield and love.'
Psalm 5v11-12
I just had to add the pic of the crazy germans...
