Germany is a beautiful country, with an abundant array of things to do and see over the festive season. There are many Christmas markets, or Weihnachtsmarkt as they call it, where you can buy all kinds of things. The general idea is to have a cup of Gluhwein to warm you up while you are at the market as well. It is a spicy warm drink that contains alcohol.

During the day you can visit Castles, Palaces and Cathedrals. It was amazing to hear of some princess who received 250 new dresses each year, custom made of course.

They also have the most amazing indoor play centers for kids, where you can jump on trampolines, run up a volcano and hide in the labyrinth. The labyrinth has enough room for adults to enjoy hide and seek with the kids. The indoor swimming pools in Germany caters for both adults and children. They have spa's, sauna's and jacuzzi baths for the adults and a wave pool, water slides and many more things to entertain the children.
