Winter Fun - Homemade paint brushes

I love creating things.  

Whether it is a piece of clothing,  or maybe even something fun like these paintbrushes.  They teach children about different textures and it is fun to see the effect they have when dipped in paint and used for painting.

All you need are a few things that you can find around the house, then you re-cycle or re-purpose them for your paint brushes.

Gather your materials

For the brush part

different types of fabric

bubble wrap

rope

natural things like pine needles

For the handles

clothing pegs

old dried up pens

sticks

For attaching the two

elastic bands

rope

glue 

Cut the fabric into strips and attach to the stick with your elastic bands.  

Viola, let the painting begin.
