I wanted to make something special for someone, something that no one else would have - so the idea for this little scatter cushion was born.
All you need is little bits of fabric, lace, buttons, thread, ribbon, filling and to know the person you want to bless. Do not use a pattern, it will all just fall into place as you play around with the items.
Place the items randomly on the piece of fabric until you get the desired effect. Slowly start sewing each little component to your piece of fabric. Make sure the lace touches the sides of the fabric, so that it can be sewn into the sides when attaching the back of the little cushion. After all the items are in place, attach the back of the cushion, right side facing the right side, leaving a hole to turn the cushion inside out, and to fill the cushion with filling. Then hand-sew the opening and you are done.
